Grade II Cornish Cottages
CORNWALLI had the privilege of designing three holiday cottages shaped around a secluded courtyard in the beautiful “Digey”, one of the most iconic streets in St Ives.
Setting the overall style, including an emphasis on Cornish stone and slate inside and out, and ensuring all three were hard-wearing, yet high-spec. But while the external look is harmonious and traditional, inside each property has its own character, reflecting the likely users. That combination begins at the hand-forged metal gate, which features a simple elongated fish motif, produced locally in Cornwall by Jays Gates. Each cottage boasts an open-plan living/dining space, beautiful oak beams and luxurious fittings throughout. The cottages received the silver award after being shortlisted as one of the three finalists in the Self-catering Accommodation of the year category at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2020/2021.
